Our famous bald eagle has returned to the valley this winter. We had early sightings of him in October & November, but then he kind of disappeared. But we are happy to say that he is back and exploring the river for fish and scavenging as well. Hopefully, he'll stop long enough for us to catch a quick photo. It's just spectacular to see him soaring through the sky. You definitely can't miss him. :)

While Karen was sitting in the dining room in the house this afternoon, she looked out the window and saw this peculiar creature walking around the pool and hot tub. We think he was wanting to "take a dip" but instead decided to stalk a mouse or mole while we were "spying." He really didn't care that we were taking his picture and happily posed for us. Unfortunately he wouldn't grace us with a full-on face shot. Very rare to see a bobcat in the middle of the day. Enjoy these great photos on a bitter cold day in sunny Colorado!
