Curious Creatures

We were graced this morning with the site of a lone coyote. It was just cruising out back behind the house, sniffing around in the snow looking for food I'm sure. Pepper of course alerted us all that there was something outside with her keen senses (Yes...even though she is getting up there in age, she can still hear a few things. Although we do believe she is very familiar with the ever-famous "selective hearing"). :) So, we made sure to keep her inside while the coyote roamed about. Enjoy the pictures. Karen is the famous photographer of course. :)

It Worked!!!!

Ok.....I think I did it! After signing up to receive email notifications of new posts on our blog, I finally received an email this afternoon with the two posts from yesterday. So it did take about 24 hours to let me know, but IT WORKED!!! I will post this just for a second "trial run" to make sure, but hopefully all is good now. Thank you for your patience!

Newbie

Ok...to be honest, I'm still learning so much about all this blogging, social networking stuff. So this is kind of a "test post" to see if my new additions to our blog work. I added a Feedburner to the blog to see if those that are already followers can now sign up to get automatic emails when a new post is made (since blogger doesn't automatically do this). I also added a "widget" (like my new vocabulary?) where you can just sign up for email subscriptions of when new posts are made. Naturally, I signed myself up for the email subscriptions, will post this, check my email to see if it works, and hope to goodness it does. Everyone cross your fingers. :)

What Are Those Big Brown Things Out There?

Finally....we get to see some elk!! They've been hiding all winter long. Last Friday, coming home from Tyler's ski meet, the May's were able to see a huge herd of elk in South Park!! Way to cool! We are glad they are still sticking around. They are incredible animals. Looks like there was at least one bull in the group, just a little spike, but they are probably starting to begin to lose their horns for the season. Enjoy the great photos!! Don't forget to enjoy the mountains. :)
